As the Director of Operational Excellence, you are responsible for leadership and maintenance of the company’s key business metrics which align and support the achievement of Eminence’s strategic goals. You will partner with leaders across the organization to support, maintain and refine team-based goals, objectives, and key performance indicators. You will lead the Office Services & Facilities Management Team and partner directly with the HR Analyst on Eminence’s Performance-Based Bonus Program.
You will partner with the Division Leaders to lead the development and implementation of a framework for best practices and documentation throughout the organization – all to align with Operational Excellence both in social & environmental impact and in governance for Eminence’s ongoing B Corp accreditation. This accreditation demonstrates Eminence’s passion for balancing profit with purpose and maintaining operational excellence in areas such as Corporate Governance, Worker well-being, Community, Environment, and Customer Best Practices. You report to the Director of Operations & Organization Development.
Responsibilities
Manage metrics for the companywide Goals, Objectives, and Key Performance Indicators
Goals & Objectives help to define the practices and behaviours that lead to the achievement of Eminence’s divisional and companywide strategic goals. Examples of measurement areas include sales success, customer order & fulfillment timelines, production speed & accuracy, financial metrics, Customer Satisfaction standards, Employee retention & engagement, quality measures, and the success of our product launches. These goals and objectives also form the building blocks for Eminence’s Performance-Based Bonus Program for which all full-time Team-members are eligible.
Enhance, develop, and maintain the Performance-Based Bonus Program which includes Goals, Objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) which drive Quarterly and Year-end bonus achievement for each Division
Provide hands-on support to leaders to develop and maintain business-specific analytics
Partner with leaders to create goals, objectives, and bonus incentives for teams
Lead the creation and distribution of Quarterly & Annual Goals & Objectives
Lead the calculation & review of Quarterly and Year-End bonus results
Lead the tracking and reporting of Company and Departmental KPIs
Partner with the People & Culture Team and the HRIS vendor to build a custom KPI module
Develop, monitor, and communicate progress on key goals and initiatives to Executive and Senior Leaders
Lead the development and implementation of framework for best practices and documentation throughout the organization in alignment with Operational Excellence in social & environmental impact and governance
Develop and manage metrics, documentation, and reporting with different departments to achieve operational goals
Develop policy framework for Corporate Governance including ethics, code of conduct, and transparency
Define environmental management, impact, and disclosure practices
Develop policy and procedures that support the ongoing process of B Corp certification
Oversee the Office Services Team responsible for first impressions and outstanding Customer Service at the front desk and reception
Oversee Facilities (including maintenance, tenant management, Custodial management, and security)
Partner with the Facilities Team to establish and monitor meaningful metrics to track the environmental impact of our facilities
Qualifications
10+ years of progressively increasing experience in Business Operations/Administrative Management
Any combination of education or experience that would be equivalent to a Business Degree (Management/ Operations/ Lean Six Sigma methodologies, ISO or Quality Management Systems)
Previous experience in attaining accreditation such as B Corp, ISO, Best Managed Company, etc.
Project Management experience (an asset)
Proven operational leader with effective collaboration skills
Strong foundation of business operations experience along with the ability to develop and interpret metrics/data to inform decision making and planning
Superior change management skills including outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong Customer service focus; seek opportunities for continuous improvement and strive to create a positive and meaningful Customer experience internally and externally
Proactive, highly organized, and extremely detail-oriented
Experience in facilitating problem-solving with teams, leaders, and all levels in an organization
Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
