Job Description

Trillium Communities is recruiting for a Director of People and Administration.

This is a full-time position located at our Head Office in Victoria.

This key role will be responsible for:
Employee Engagement & Culture

Develop, implement and educate on company-wide people policies and procedures

Administer employee engagement programs that create a positive employee environment and lead initiatives such as performance management and engagement surveys

Responsible for all aspects of annual employee engagement surveys and follow up

Champion programming and events focused on team engagement and workplace wellness

Responsible for implementing and compliance with the Health and Safety and Wellness program across all sites including management/consultation with EDs on WorkSafe issues

Employee relations, coaching and advising managers, acting as a point of contact for employee queries on HR policies, benefits and resolving issues

Talent Acquisition

Full cycle recruitment for the organizations needs

Develop creative sourcing and recruitment strategies to identify a talent pipeline and proactively recruit and select top talent for current and future opportunities

Manage the onboarding experience program

Compensation, Administration & Reporting

Ensure effective administration of the organization’s compensation, benefits, and incentive programs

Provide recommendations to COO and CEO regarding effective management of payroll/compensation and benefits programs

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of HRIS data

Accountable for internal and external reporting related to employee payroll and other data

Administrative support to COO and CEO as required

Organizational Development

Facilitate the Performance Management cycle

Implement and administer the year-end performance review process including partnering with COO and site leaders to ensure increases are equitable and budgets are met

Facilitate communication with employees and other stakeholders

Strategic Planning

Participate in strategic planning meetings and leadership meetings to align HR initiatives with operational initiatives

Who you are:
Degree or Diploma in Human Resources

CPHR designation

Minimum five years human resources experience including experience in unionized environments

Minimum 3 years management experience in a Human Resources role

Familiarity with Pay Works and Comvida

Excellent interpersonal skills and an effective written and oral communication style

An ability to manage multiple critical timelines

Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment managing multiple stakeholders
