DIRECTOR OF SAFETY
LOCATION: REGINA, SK

Responsibilities:
Oversee a behaviour based safety program for 10 branches while building a positive working relationship with the Management team
Oversee all areas of Safety and Compliance to ensure a safe and happy workplace
Ensure compliance of training matrix
Assist branches with all incident investigations
Create and maintain company HSE documentation
Creation of safety shares, safety bulletins, weekly toolbox
Maintain COR certification and recertification
Working knowledge of WCB claim handling
Continued development of safe work procedures, practices and task hazard assessments
Maintain safety statistics with recommendations for improvement along with creating yearly action plans
Supervision of Safety & Compliance Administrator and Entry Level Safety Specialist
Qualifications:
3-5 years in a Safety Lead role
COR certification with the Saskatchewan Trucking Association
Leadership, communication, presentation, problem solving and organization skills
Knowledge of Labour Canada OHS Legislation & Regulations
Sound judgement and investigative skills
Strong attention to detail
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with clean driver’s abstract, required for branch travel
