Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Supply Chain Director to join our growing team! This position will lead and direct all facets of supply chain management including, but not limited to, customer experience, logistics, purchasing, warehousing, transportation, inventory management, material forecasting, capacity planning and sourcing, master scheduling, inventory control and financial costing. Beyond this, the Supply Chain Director’s main objective will be to provide leadership and direction on a cross functional basis.

Responsibilities

Direct the activities of all functions involved in the customer experience, logistics, purchasing, planning, warehousing and control of materials from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product into finished goods inventory and delivery of products to customer(s).

Manage inventory and establish processes to ensure Earth Rated is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics.

Minimize supply chain risk while at the same time gaining significant market share in all business territories.

Develop strategies, policies, and procedures with the goal of creating a world class supply-chain group.

Identify bottleneck processes and implement solutions in a timely manner.

Build and maintain good relationships with partners & vendors.

Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.

Develop and continuously improve supplier/partners programs.

Foster a continuous improvement mindset by considering cost, technical issues and service level.

Participate in existing and new product planning processes to ensure the timely acquisition of all materials required for the product launches.

Participate in the continuous development and improvement (addition of new modules/functionalities) of the ERP system while optimizing its use.

Develop and manage departmental budgets.

Establish annual goals and objectives, (including stretch targets) in partnership with the VP of Operations’ objectives and manage the team’s performance in order to ensure attainment.

Develop and update the supply planning and logistics dashboard by identifying and sharing key supply chain KPIs.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Supply Chain Manager or Director (essential)

Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes

Working experience of relevant software (NetSuite)

University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field
