Health and Social Services is seeking to become a higher performing organization utilizing the four focuses within the quadruple aim: Patient Experience, Population Health, Care Team Well Being and Value for Money. This position is responsible for collaboratively leading the development and implementation of innovation and transformation initiatives and methodologies to achieve the implementation of Putting People First (PPF).
This position will develop and report on the implementation of the recommendations in Putting People First. Inherent in the design and delivery of all of these programs is the concept of cultural humility, working with Yukon First Nation governments, and engaging with people with lived experience in the re-design and delivery of health and social services in Yukon. A key methodology in achieving these aims will be the ability to engage thought leaders and experts, working across divisions, departments, governments and organizations to create a dynamic, client-centered, and responsive health and social services system for the Territory.
The success of this position will depend on the incumbent’s ability to establish effective relationships and work collaboratively with members of the department’s senior leadership team; First Nation, Federal, Provincial and Territorial governments; communities, and non-government organization’s to achieve and execute on the visions of Putting People First.

Essential Qualifications

Degree (baccalaureate or master’s) in a health or social services field
Significant leadership and management experience, including working in a complex or matrix management environment
Experience working in health, wellness, policy, governance, community development, or related programming, including in a northern context
Demonstrated success in leading large scale change initiatives within your organization
Training in Social Innovation or Design Thinking Methodologies is considered an asset
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.
