To be eligible, youth must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment*;
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,

Job Synopsis As a member of the Donor Relations team, this position will enhance and support the department through stewardship, expressing appreciation to donors and data management of donor files, while supporting MCC’s relief, development and peacebuilding work.
This is a 12 week contract sponsored by Canada Summer Jobs. It is 35 hours/week.

Challenges
Key Responsibilities Duties:
- Support staff with stewardship of mass, middle and lapsed donors
- Make telephone calls of appreciation to specified donors, including mass and new donors
- Communicate appreciation with donors through written mail and email
- Cultivate stories for donor engagement
- Assist with reporting to donors on impact of giving
- Manage, track and facilitate contact entries into Donor Management System
- Update donor database files
- Reception coverage including answering phones, receiving mail and assisting Revenue Development Associate
- Participate in team meetings, participate as a member of the Donor Relations team, offering feedback, suggestions and ideas to help achieve department goals.
Other
- Participate in a local faith community, being willing to use his/her personal gifts within this community and model nonviolent peacemaking through respectful interaction with others
- Maintain a high level of integrity, reflecting Christian respect and Christ’s unconditional love to those with whom you work, including colleagues, volunteers, partner agencies, the homeless and marginalized
- Answer inquiries about MCC from constituency and general public; communicate MCC’s values, articulating the importance of MCC’s criteria for workers, all of whom serve as representatives of the Mennonite and Be in Christ churches which support MCC
- Model nonviolent peacemaking through respectful daily interactions with staff and the public
The Manager of Donor Engagement supervises the Donor Relations Summer Associate position.

The MCC Ontario office is located at 50 Kent Avenue in Kitchener.

Due to COVID-19, this position will likely be working remotely. Regular video check-ins and meetings will be held with the supervisor.
