Education and Training Program Supervisor – Full time

Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse (CCASA) is the primary sexual violence service provider for Calgary and surrounding areas. We are a dynamic service delivery agency that offers a dual mandate of clinical and education programs. CCASA is seeking a full time Education and Training Program Supervisor to join our team. This individual will work with the Education and Training Program Director to oversee CCASA’s Education and Training team and programs. The successful candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to multiple demands while maintaining a vision of serving people who have experienced sexual violence as well as the broader community.

Responsibilities of the Education and Training Program Supervisor include:

Recruiting, training and mentoring a team of sexual violence educators

Providing individual and group supervision which supports the professional development and growth of team members as well as attends to the impacts of working with trauma

Participating in creative and effective program development and community engagement initiatives

Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with community organizations

Facilitating CCASA’s community and professional education workshops

Providing crisis support, information, advocacy and referrals

Qualifications of the successful applicant will have the following:

Minimum of an undergraduate degree and three to four years of experience preferable in social/human services/anti-violence field – with at least two years of supervisory experience

Possess an anti-oppressive/feminist analysis of sexual violence

An understanding and comfort with issues related to all forms of sexual violence

Strong public speaking, facilitation and community development skills

Ability to foster a skilled, knowledgeable, and professional Education and Training Team

Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands and client groups

Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, take initiative, and have strong self-reflection and interpersonal skills.

Thrives in a collaborative environment internally and externally.

Crisis intervention and risk assessment skills

**Successful applicant will be required to work some evenings and weekends. As this position entails working in various locations throughout Calgary and surrounding areas, access to a reliable vehicle is necessary.
