RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and manage the community consultation and communication plan
Manage resources/meet reporting requirements and deadlines
Utilize best practices of ratification already established through land code ratification
Utilize cost effective communication methodologies to ensure that eligible voters and stakeholders receive accurate and timely information
Establish work plan compliant with First Nations Education Steering Committee and the Negotiation table to meet all deadlines for ratification and implementation
Provide the EducationCommittee with resources to enable fulfillment of their roles and responsibilities
Ensure that the Chief Financial Officer, Director of Education, Council and Education Committee are fully apprised and provide regular updates on the status of the Ratification progress
Ensure that project expenditures and budget matters are met and reported
Prepare necessary documentation to facilitate the ratification of the Education Jurisdiction Agreement and the Law-Making Protocol.
Manage the administration of the Education Jurisdiction social media page
Oversee and provide guidance when needed to support staff
Other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (please attach all required documents)
Bachelor Degree in Education preferred. Bachelor Degree in Administration or equivalent required
3 – 5 years of progressive experience in developing, implementing, or ratifying Education Jurisdiction Agreements and Education Law-Making Protocols or related experience considered an asset
Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and own reliable transportation required
Criminal Record Check (C.R.C.) required
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated computer competency in MS Office Suite programs
Demonstrated knowledge of reporting, proposal, project development, and financial reporting
Communication, presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
Technical skills related to social media platforms
