Working closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, the Education Manager will re-imagine CCDS’s education division, including setting a new standard for credit, debt, and personal finance education for Canadians. In this newly created role, the Education Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of an ambitious, industry-leading education program and will collaborate with CCDS’s team of credit counsellors in the creation of innovative, relevant, and impactful educational offerings that help people get out of debt, so they can get back into life.

As Education Manager, You Will

Lead CCDS’s education division—including evaluating current offerings and analyzing the competitive landscape to inform the creation of the division’s short, medium, and long-term strategy and operational plans;

Develop and manage CCDS’s educational offerings, including curriculum and delivery mode(s);

Manage a small team of direct reports (facilitators and an education coordinator);

Leverage your business acumen and relationship-building skills to create and maintain strong relationships with partners and sponsors;

Establish clear processes for efficient workflow, communications, and structure; and

Develop, manage, and optimize the budget for the division’s technology, people, and marketing, etc.

About You

An entrepreneurial and innovative enabler who takes initiative and brings forward new ideas;

Superb interpersonal, facilitation, communications (verbal/written), and relationship-building skills;

Deep experience leading or training educators and trainers;

Proven ability to develop and iterate new education offerings for target audiences;

Track record of teamwork, collegiality, and developing strong cross-functional partnerships; and

Passion for making a meaningful difference through your work.

You Also Have:
7+ years’ experience in an education function, including managing a team;

A strong background in creating and delivering transformative training that requires participants to engage with challenging or highly personal matters;

Knowledge of recent and emerging trends in education, including micro credentialing, an asset;

A university degree or a combination of education and experience; and

Post-secondary training in adult learning, an asset.

The anticipated annual salary range for the role is $70,000 to $85,000, depending on experience.
