Position Summary
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team supporting students who are visually impaired and may have complex needs and are medically fragile.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
assisting a student who has severe visual impairment/blindness
preparing and adapting educational materials
implementing braille lessons and activities
providing one-on-one and small group support
administering medication to students
assisting students with personal care including g-tube feeding and toileting
Education/Qualifications
Unified English Braille Certification
a minimum of two years of related experience including experience working with diverse learners
knowledge of a variety of braillers and audio assistive technology
NVCI, First Aid
Rate of Pay
$24.48 – $31.18 per hour
