Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Leadership of Business
Instructional and Operational Leadership
Promote goal-oriented performance and support the achievement of campus performance objectives
Ensure a favorable childcare and early childhood education environment through the implementation of equitable and effective operational practices
Lead with innovation in the development of pedagogy, curriculum and brain development while integrating the latest research and best practices
Executive Relations
Keep the executive team continuously informed on issues, needs, and operations of the campus network
Support the formulation and execution of business plans to achieve the organizational Vision
Represent the ownership group in all matters, as required
Management of Fiscal, Administrative and Facilities Functions
Stay informed of developments in licensing regulations, childcare policy and laws affecting early childhood education
Ensure that the campus and facilities are properly maintained and that adequate provision is made for the safety of students, employees, and other users facilities
Develop administrative procedures and regulations to implement policies and manage day-to-day operations
Leadership of Results
Evaluations and Assessments
Conduct periodic evaluations of all programs and operations to determine improvements needed to reach goals
Ensure that the education objectives are aligned with the Mission and Vision and adhere to the overall philosophy of the Kids U learning system
Build programs and resources to improve teacher skillsets in the fields of early childhood education, curriculum and neuroscience
Child-centered approach
Create frameworks to deliver a high service standard for all families entering and exiting the program
Work with parents and teachers to define and meet the children’s needs
Design overall program expectations that support the unique learning system build on the foundations of executive functions and brain development
Compliance and timely decision making
Create systems and processes to ensure compliance at all times with all applicable requirements
Maintain relationships with regulation authorities and act as the License Holder Contract Representative
Develop and review the campus program plans for compliance with all pertinent regulations
Leadership of People
Communication and Community Relations
Develop and implement effective communication between the organization and community
Represent the organization in relevant activities and events aligned to the Brand, Vision, and future plans
Serve as a liaison to establish and maintain relationships with other institutions, organizations, professional groups
Professional Growth and Development
Formulate, with the executive team, an annual professional development plan and measure its effectiveness for success
Pursue personal professional development through academic reading, attending conferences, and being an active member of professional learning communities in the field of early childhood education
Foster a learning organization through campus staff development programs that improve job related skills and professional growth
Building effective teams
Use a collaborative decision-making and problem-solving process
Promote a positive work environment that fosters high staff morale and excellence across the organization
Build a coaching culture across all levels at the campus
Minimum Experience / Education / Knowledge & Skills:
Master’s degree in Educational Administration or Education related field
Combination of at least 10 years of successful leadership experience in the field of early childhood education and curriculum
Proven record of improving organizational success
Ability to work effectively with leaders across business units and across geographies (in-person and remote)
A reputation for a high level of personal integrity, a collaborative leadership style, exemplary people skills and high ethical standards
Ability to evaluate all programs based on effectiveness
Working knowledge of budgeting and administration with an understanding of the importance of being fiscally moderate
Ability to ensure policies are implemented fairly and in an equitable manner
A strong desire to be a part of the community and the willingness to be visible and active in community events
Knowledge and thorough understanding of licensed childcare operations and understanding of the various teams and their interplay for organizational success
Ability to inspire teams for wide scale impact
Ability to lead campus-wide, multi-location, cross-provincial initiatives
Strong organizational, communication, public relations and interpersonal skills
