The Disability Programs and Housing Division requires a highly-motivated and innovative professional to provide leadership and direction for the Disability Program and Service Design Branch. The Disability Programs branch provides many services to the people of Saskatchewan to ensure physical, emotional and social needs are met, and that people with intellectual disabilities live and function as independently as possible within their own communities.

Reporting directly to the Assistant Deputy Minister, this position is responsible for:

Leading a team of professionals to create and sustain a client focused, high-performing and collaborative culture, and facilitate effective delivery of programs and services.

Developing program strategies and operational policy for efficient and effective delivery of Disability Programs’ and services; researching trends and best practices to identify innovative approaches to service design/redesign and delivery.

Leading the ongoing program policy development, service design, and financial planning for the Disability Programs Branch.

Monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating programs and services.

Partnering with Corporate Services on the design and implementation of technology changes and improved business practices.

Our candidate of choice will have:
Superior oral and written communication skills.

Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work with other divisions, ministries and organizations to achieve results will be critical.

Typically, our successful candidate will have:
A Master’s degree or equivalent level of experience and education in a related field such as social science, law, business or public administration, management or finance.
