Job Description
Dexterra is currently seeking an Facilities Operations Director for an upcoming contract opportunity.
If secured the anticipated project will provide full oversight of facility services and leadership of our team of staff.
Based in Fort McMurray, you will provide facility maintenance and integrated facility management oversight to a specific portfolio of work, along with provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to the associated Account Directors. You will report to the Division Vice President and will enable support function directors to facilitate divisional growth, meet new business financial targets whilst overseeing specific contract operations. This individual will foster strong relationships and deliver operational excellence to meet client and customer needs. Detailed job description will be shared with select candidates, some of the duties will include:
Plan, manage, strengthen, and coordinate all operational activities across multiple site locations
Train, coach and mentor Account Directors in strategic planning, marketing, business development and operational functions.
Ensure people have clarity of vision and live our values in the delivery of high-quality services
Negotiate and administer contracts with general contractors and trades. This includes managing documentation, payment, deficiencies, change orders, scope, and schedule
Act as a talent scout using networks to help identify, recruit and vet proposed Dexterra People
Ensure safety of operations is paramount at every location
Ensure a visible account-level presence to foster and maintain effective working relationship with all clients
Understand that client retention is embedded as a daily process through thoughtful action and attitude, utilizing the Tenacity Client for Life methodology
Monitor actual financial performance toward operational budget and course correct as required, forecast projected requirements
Work toward ensuring Dexterra is viewed as a value-add service provider drive revenue and profit opportunities
Identify new opportunities to market and sell new products and services within existing clients or to new clients
Review operational efficiencies on regular basis to improve the work environment, client success, and retention
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, or related study.
Minimum of 15 years of operational experience in Integrated Facilities Management and/or Site Services in an Industrial Environment.
Experience on managing P&L’s of $2M CAD to $40M CAD
Proven ability to attract, develop and retain employees while providing a safe, supportive work environment supporting People strategies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
