A Grape farm in Osoyoos is currently looking for 1 Farm Manager (NOC: 0821) Location of work: 10709, 100 Avenue, BC V0H 1V2
Positions Available: 1
Job Type: Permanent, Full time
Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible
Wage Rate: $25.00/ Hour (40 hours/week.)
Benefits: Benefits will be according to BC Employment Standards Act.
Vacation Pay: 2 Weeks Paid vacation after completion of 1 year.
Skill Requirements:
Minimum Education:
High School
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the farm as supervisor is required.
Language:
Basic knowledge in English
Job Duties:
- Manage the overall operations of the farm
- Determine the amount and kinds of crops to be grown
- Organize and co-ordinate planting, cultivating and crop harvesting activities
- Hire and manage farm personnel
- Establish a marketing program
- Develop and keep financial and production records
- Purchase farm machinery, seed and other supplies
- Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings
- Perform farming duties.
Additional Skills:
Develop work schedules and establish procedures, Maintain quality control and production
records, and Train workers. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced
environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing,
