With over 100 years of combined experience in agriculture our client is well equipped to meet the demand of the evolving marketplace. As Farm Manager you would oversee all day-to-day operations on the property.
Compensation
$80-100,000.00/year + health benefits
Responsibilities:
Executing the ground preparation plans, seeding, planting, fertilizing and spraying plans for the farm season.
Scheduling labour from labour contractors as required per task.
Ensuring seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other supplies are regularly restocked.
Scheduling repairs, maintenance, and replacement of equipment and machinery.
Handling the harvesting and harvest plans of products produced on the farm like herbs, and vegetables.
Ensuring all staff adhere to health and safety regulations.
Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff members.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in a farming, fertilizer, and pesticide application.
Thorough understanding of Food Safety, GAP and HACCP procedures.
Management experience would be a plus.
A self-starter and passion for agriculture.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
The ability to work independently and make decisions in stressful environments.
Experience with John Deere Tractors (50-250 HP) and can show knowledge of farming equipment.
