Job Description
The Pacific Design Academy, Victoria’s local film school, is seeking to hire a Film Studies instructor. Our ideal candidate is experienced, friendly, energetic, co-operative, results oriented and ORGANIZED!
This position requires an individual with a broad range of expertise but the main duties involve teaching, facilitating and assessing student progress.
All candidates should possess the following:
- Over two years of experience within the Film / Television industry
- Ability to communicate effectively and contribute to team efforts
- Knowledge of story telling, film cameras, lighting, equipment, computers and editing software
- A related degree or diploma
- Ability to manage time, prioritize and make a decision
- Attention to detail, honest, hard working and dependable.
- Ability to multi-task under pressure and work with minimal supervision
Preference given to applicants who have:
- Produced and distributed a small budget or independent film
- Teaching experience
