The expectation is that this successful individual will take over the reins at a mutually agreed date in the latter half of this summer.
Reporting to the Company’s Board of Directors, the person will lead Inn at Laurel Point and be the face and spokesperson for the Inn and the Company. They will be responsible for the financial, physical and cultural health of the Inn and Company.

Qualifications we are looking for:
At least 15 years’ experience in a senior position within a hotel of which at least 5 is as a General Manager or equivalent in the full service/luxury end of the market.
Such positions should represent a wide exposure to the many facets of the industry and at least one should be of a length and depth to demonstrate the mastership of that discipline (one may call it “Jack of all trades and master of at least one”).
Higher education relevant to the hotel industry is expected.
Demonstrated and ongoing involvement and contribution in local and provincial industry affairs is looked of very favourably.

Inn at Laurel Point is the sole asset of Paul’s Restaurants Ltd, whose single shareholder is the Paul & Artie Arsens Trust. The late Paul Arsens started the Company in 1938 and had many enterprises. Inn at Laurel Point was his final venture, which he bought in 1980 and extended in 1989. We are a social enterprise that has been carbon neutral for 10 years.
The Inn has 196 bedrooms housed in 2 different styled wings. There are 131 in the original Laurel Wing and 65 in the Erickson Wing (named after the world renowned architect Arthur Erickson who designed it). There is over 10,000 sq ft of meeting space and Aura Restaurant and Patio.
