The Duke of Marlborough School is a Nursery to Grade 12 school located in Churchill, Manitoba with approximately 165 students. This historic, dynamic community with a population of nearly 1,000 people has all modern services and facilities. The facilities are unique in that the hockey rink, curling rink, swimming pool, bowling alley, community gymnasium, indoor playground, hospital and theatre are in the same community complex as the school. Known as the polar bear capital of the world, Churchill is one of Manitoba’s top tourist destinations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education Degree

Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)

A sound knowledge of provincial Early Years curricula

Previous Early Years teaching experience

Strong classroom management skills

Experience working in a northern community

Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life

Experience working with students with unique needs

A commitment to differentiated instruction

A willingness to inquire into best practices and reflect on practices

A team player committed to the belief that all students can learn

Self-motivated
