Required Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience
• Minimum grade 12 education or GED
• Must be proficient in English
• Student candidates that will succeed at Keyano’s Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre will have a passion for and possess experience in exceptional customer service.
• Your strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills will benefit our building and membership base as well as your ability to succeed in this position,
• Team members must be able to multi-task, to work independently or as a member of a team, and to communicate openly with fellow co-workers as well as guests.
• Familiarity with fitness equipment and sport facility rules of conduct.
• Competent in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Activenet software and Standard First Aid and CPR Level C as well as AFLCA certification will be considered assets
• POS experience as an asset

Job Description
The Guest Services Attendant reports directly to the Guest Services Coordinator and can report to the Fitness and Event & Booking Coordinators for special events and fitness related responsibilities and in Guest Services Coordinator’s absence.
While working in our high energy environment you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities as it relates to the greeting and receiving of our members, staff, and Keyano College students.
Duties will include, but are not limited to, answering incoming calls, validated and processing memberships and program information through Activenet softward, cash handling processes, conducting facility tours including noting equipment and facility maintenance and damage, organizing equipment, equipment lending, filing, reception, cleaning fitness centre equipment, general maintenance of equipment, equipment set-up and tear down, event booking set up and tear down including clean up, washroom checks, garbage collection, supervising the field houses, track, and fitness centre, enforcing facility policies including wristband, membership card, dress code, and equipment lending policies. Providing exceptional customer service to our members, guests and facility users. Candidates must be able to lift 50lbs weight. Candidates must be able to clean for COVID safety and be able to wear PPE for extended periods of time. Other duties as assigned.

• The position requires availability on weekends and evenings.
