Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree and holds or is eligible to
hold a PEI Teaching Certificate;
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Education of Students who
are Deaf or Hard of Hearing;
- Experience with assessment, program planning and delivery
of instruction for students who are deaf or hard of hearing;
- Competence in listening and spoken language development;
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development;
- Ability to work in a collaborative, positive manner with
HEAR staff, administrators, parents and public school / school branch staff;
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication
skills;
- Valid driver’s license and regular travel with personal
vehicle.
The following would be considered assets:
- Sign Language at the Intermediate Plus level;
