Established in 1976 the Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nation governed post-secondary institution. As an instructor in Adult Basic Education (ABE), you will provide instruction of 8 courses in the Adult 12 program. This position includes the following accountabilities:

Prepare lesson plans and appropriate delivery methods

Create, maintain and submit all course-related materials including evaluations, attendance records, course evaluations, and annual year plans

Incorporate current technology advancements within instruction and administration where applicable

Make recommendations to modify course objectives, course outlines, curriculum and evaluation procedures and instruments

Adhere to and promote academic regulations and SIIT policies and procedures

Foster a positive, collaborative and professional working relationship among students, coworkers and partners across the institution

Ensures a positive, diverse and inclusive work and learning environment

Maintain classroom, and lab discipline and, if necessary, recommend action to applicable supervisor regarding student behavior, including formal student disciplinary action

Required Qualifications and Experience: A Bachelor of Education from an accredited institution. Must possess a Saskatchewan teaching certificate or be eligible to obtain one. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations is considered an asset.
