Job Duties
Check links and content prior to the start of the course, update resources as needed, communicate with students regularly, monitor student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, manage and review exam submissions as required by the course, finalize official grades.
Description
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Health Information Management diploma and degree in a relevant health science or education field (Candidates who are enrolled in an undergraduate program will be considered)
- Internal candidates that have previously been successful in this competition will continue to be screened in on previous qualifications.
- Active member of the Canadian College of Health Information Management at the Certificate level
- Two years of recent and relevant experience in health information management including coding and abstracting
- Effective organizational and project management skills
- Effective interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Effective communication (oral, written, and group facilitation) skills
- Ability to apply the theory, practices, and principles of adult education
- Ability to work in a group setting and as part of a team
- Demonstrate valuing diversity
- Understanding and modelling of accurate referencing and copyright processes in all student interactions (handouts, manuals, power points, design and marking of assignments, etc.)
