Are you interested in joining a dynamic and growing team of global experts? NSF is looking for a motivated, detail oriented, and proactive professional to join our Training and Education department. Not only will you gain in-depth knowledge on adult learning principles, you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining state of the art training practices on a global scale!
PLEASE NOTE: This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs and pays a rate of $16.50 per hour.
BASIC PURPOSE:
Provide support to Training and Education Services to transition existing eLearning programs into new LMS
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Support administrative tasks for successful delivery of assigned programs. General administrative duties may include and is not limited to, typing letters, faxing, copying, file maintenance, ordering supplies, etc.
Process incoming and outgoing communications.
Support existing programs and webinars hosted through the Training and Education department.
Create media assets for face-to-face and online training initiatives.
Perform other administrative duties as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Required to sit for long periods of time.
Extensive use of computers.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in an office environment using office equipment such as phone, printer, and computer. Remote work is available.
This position is available for an 8 week work term, for 35 hours a week.
This position is located at 125 Chancellors Way, Guelph, ON.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite of programs
- Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated team member with effective planning and organizational capacity.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently in a fast-pace environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in designing web-based modules using Articulate Storyline.
- Experience working in an LMS (i.e. reporting, course set up etc.)
As required by the Canada Summer Jobs program; the successful applicant must:
- Be between 15-30 years of age at the start of employment;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act;
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations;
