Pathways to Education accompanies youth in developing their potential and achieving their academic goals. We encourage youth to: take an active role in building their future, obtain their high school diploma, and pursue their dreams. Students residing in Pointe-St-Charles have free access to a comprehensive set of services: personalized one on one support, tutoring, mentoring, and financial support.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Become familiar with the strengths and abilities of students registered in the program to help them achieve their goals
Establish and maintain positive and cooperative relationships with parents/guardians and high school staff to act as a liaison for students
Prepare written and verbal reports;
Refer students and parents/guardians to other organizations when necessary;
Gather information about participants and enter it into the program’s database;
Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures on protecting children and vulnerable adults;
Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy in his or her position and the Association, and participate in fundraising activities/events.
REQUIREMENTS
A BAC in intervention or related fields OR a DEC WITH 2 years’ pertinent experience.
Relevant experience in education considered an asset
Is able to quickly establish a trusting and respectful relationship with youth
Is proficient in Microsoft Office, and particularly in Word and Excel
Is able to communicate in French and/or in English (strong verbal skills and excellent writing skills)
Available to work early evenings
Has no criminal record in connection with employment
