Online Community Manager

Canada’s New Democrats are searching for an energetic, tech-savvy organizer who is eager to contribute to the success of Jagmeet Singh and the NDP. Job Duties & Details

Monitor, triage, and respond to inbound communicationsposted on or sent to the leader and party accounts from paid media and organic social

Working with the digital organizing team to develop and implement ladders of engagement for inbound contacts and influencers.

Develop follow-up automations and protocols to turn social media engagements into meaningful interactions (votes, volunteers, dollars).

Identifying influencer opportunities and sharing our goals, message frame, and impact strategy to get the most out of those collaboration

Managing the Community texting platform — both responding to inbound texts and working with social media and digital org to develop targeted voter ID, mobilization, and GOTV campaigns for users on the platform.

Working with the digital organizing team to develop voter education and GOTV strategiesfor supporters, especially young voters, engaging on Jagmeet’s social channels and Community texting platform.

Required skills & Experience

Excellent organization and communication skills; comfortable making phone calls and talking to lots of people

Understanding of online outreach and engagement strategies, especially connecting that to getting out the vote

Experience developing ladders of engagement, clear calls to action, and impactful opportunities

Strong proficiency with social media, especially Instagram and TikTok

Experience working with influencers

Knowledgeable and passionate about social issues and/or Canada’s NDP

Ability to work in a high-paced, high-pressure work environment in which attention to detail are paramount.
