Purpose:

Contributes to the overall success of the FX Operations team within Confirmations and Settlement Operations, GWO in Canada, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Responsible for completing day-to-day operational activities. This includes but is not limited to completing trade affirmation/confirmation, daily settlements, investigation of settlement issues, cash control/reconciliation and involvement with projects as they relate to the team, as well as any other assigned daily control points.

• Responsible for effectively supporting, communicating with, and maintaining excellent working relations with front office, clients, technology and any other related internal/external stakeholders in order to ensure that all interrelated processes take place in an accurate and timely manner and that any discrepancies are addressed effectively.

• Responsible for providing accurate and informative analysis to FX Settlements management as requested.

• Responsible for being the first point of contact in providing excellent customer service by effecting insightful feedback and accurate analysis in a timely manner on all customer requests as they relate to FX settlements and any resulting FX related investigations

• Will consistently look for any opportunities for process improvements to maximize efficiencies.

• Have and also continue to strengthen a sound understanding of all FX products supported. (Cash trades, SPOT trades, FX Forwards, Swaps)

• Develop proficiency with applications used by the FX Operations team on a daily basis. (Wallstreet, FXALL, MISYS, GTSS, Bloomberg)

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have: University Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Capital Markets

Work Arrangement:

• Hybrid work environment (3 days in-office) between core operational hours 8am-6pm

• Overtime may be required during peak periods or high-volume days

• Coverage on Statutory holidays is required

• Occasional weekend support for project or testing can be required
