Job Title: Automation Developer in Ottawa

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance Python-based automation and test frameworks. Your work will involve designing test plans and cases from high-level design documents, implementing automation, and performing maintenance and reporting for release cycles.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret high-level design documents to design comprehensive test plans.
• Write and maintain Python automation scripts for various ECUs.
• Debug, triage, and analyze logs to identify and resolve issues.
• Report results and maintain test case documentation in TestRail.
• Collaborate with team members and participate in Agile processes.

Essential Skills

• 3–5 years of Python automation experience.
• Familiarity with Agile, Jira, Git, and TestRail.
• Strong debugging, triage, and log analysis skills.
• Clear communication and team collaboration.
• Automotive experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Automotive or embedded systems experience.
• MySQL database experience.
• Front-end (React) development understanding.
• Experience with on-target hardware testing.

Work Environment

The role requires working 5 days a week on-site.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 – $54.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Kanata,ON.
