We are seeking a curious and analytical Business Analyst to partner with key stakeholders on numerous initiatives across our Portfolio. The primary focus of this position is to successfully identify requirements and manage planning and execution of a wide range of programs and projects relating to Data & AI.We are open to hire for our Calgary or Greater Toronto Area Location.

We’re looking for someone with strong analytical and communication skills to identify opportunities and foster trusted relationships with business partners. The successful candidate will have a passion for data and desire to embrace a culture for continuous improvement.

What you’ll do:

This role will be accountable for the following:

  • Act as change agent for process improvements and support the adoption of best practices by analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities and challenges

  • Proactively develop and manage strong and collaborative relationships across the organization.

  • Lead small projects in partnership with other teams, as needed

  • Develop and maintain data visualization, reports and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.

  • Actively support the rollout of new processes, standards, best practices, tools, and techniques.

  • Document and Present business cases/ proposals/recommendations concisely and with applicable level of detail based on audience.

  • Work with Data Scientists and engineers to design and implement AI Solutions

  • Remain current and curious relating to industry trends and emerging technologies in both Data & AI

  • Collaborate with business and delivery stakeholders to lead the assessment of business needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes), creating solid, well written requirements and understanding of objectives, status, and issues for projects and process improvements

  • Utilize change management techniques to ensure the improvements are successfully implemented and sustained.

  • Develop actionable plans and leads the implementation of process improvement opportunities that drive customer satisfaction and/or reduced delivery/operating costs.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science and/or a related field

  • 0-2 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related field

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

  • Strong understanding of business operations and processes

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) and Programming languages (e.g. Python, R)

  • Experience with change management and organizational transformation (preferred).

  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication, Stakeholder management, presentation, and influencing skills.

  • Ability to cope under pressure and balance multiple priorities

  • Extremely diligent and attentive to details

  • Certification in business analysis or a related field is an asset
