EAST 212-001 – Introduction: East Asian Culture: Japan (3 credits)
Teaching Schedule: Wednesday, Friday: 1:05 pm – 2:25 pm
Salary: $9625
Course details: An introduction to Japan which presents various aspects of Japanese literature, culture, history, religions, philosophy and society.
Teaching Qualification Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Asian Studies.
Experience: Applicants should have substantial experience teaching as an instructor at the university level.
Position Summary:
A Course assignment includes all or part of the following teaching activities:
a) preparation of the Course and Course plan;
b) delivery of the Course;
c) evaluation of students;
d) submitting to the University a report on student attendance and student grades;
e) supervision of Teaching Assistants or any other teaching support staff;
f) upon request, review of their students’ grades;
g) meeting with students, being available to answer questions and give advice concerning Course content and requirements;
Employees shall perform their duties in compliance with the Pedagogical Regulation and as specified in the administrative directives of the Hiring Unit. An Employee shall use appropriate pedagogical methods and material.
