Description:
Our client is seeking a Jr. Network Engineer to support their 2 distribution centres in the GTA – Mississauga and Milton. This person will start out on site to establish relationships and then can pivot to working remotely/going on site as needed or for a couple days per week. They have this model of a dedicated engineer in the Ohio distribution centre which has worked well and want to replicate it in the GTA.
Focus: Distribution Center Operations
Qualifications:
• Network certification such as Cisco CCNA and 3 years of hands-on experience
• Strong fundamental knowledge of OSI layers 1-4
• Strong fundamental knowledge of switching (e.g. VLAN, STP, FHRP), firewalls, wireless, and Cloud networking
• Hands-on experience with Meraki and Palo Alto, Infoblox, Azure/AWS Networking, and ServiceNow preferred
Nice to have the knowledge of Routing protocols (OSPF and BGP)
