Your opportunity:

Reporting to the Director, OVPRI, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications plans and outreach events to promote OVPRI’s initiatives and enhance its brand presence. You will work closely with internal teams, including UTSC Marketing & Communications colleagues, to create engaging content for various channels, including digital platforms, social media, and traditional marketing materials. Additionally, you will build, manage and strengthen relationshipswith stakeholders and partners of strategic importance to build capacity and collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a creative mindset, and a solid understanding of current marketing trends and technologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing plans across a broad range of marketing/communication channels that support outreach goals and objectives
  • Maintaining information on digital platforms and/or printed materials
  • Conceptualizing, organizing and executing a wide range of events and activities
  • Fostering cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts to support marking and engagement goals
  • Delivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities and/or initiatives
  • Advising on marketing best practices, brand-building opportunities and analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns and/or programs
  • Verifying that all marketing/communication collateral adheres to brand identity and University style guides

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of directly related experience in coordinating marketing and communication strategies, ideally in a post-secondary setting
  • Experience delivering presentations and facilitating workshops and/or seminars with the ability to confidently and effectively communicate information to diverse audiences
  • Ability to develop survey questions, format surveys, and administer surveys to collect accurate data
  • Experience writing, designing, editing, proofreading and publishing content for online and in-person platforms
  • Ability to understand complex information and concepts and successfully translate them into clear, concise and compelling messages
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, graphic design and image editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills who can also work independently to meet tight deadlines with accountability and minimal supervision

USW Pay Band 11 — $75,223. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $96,196. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
