What will be your role?

The Senior Director of Global Education is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive training programs for both system integrators and internal employees. This role ensures that all participants are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize and contribute to the organization’s products and services growth. The Senior Director will lead a team of training professionals and collaborate with various departments to align training initiatives with business goals.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute global training strategies that align with the organization’s goals and enhance both customer engagement and employee performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the training department.

Program Management:

  • Oversee the design, development, continuous improvement, and delivery of training programs across various formats (instructor-led, online, hybrid) for system integrators and employees.
  • Ensure training content is relevant, up-to-date, and tailored to the needs of diverse global audiences.

Distech Academy:

  • Establish the Distech Academy as the central hub of the organization’s training journey.
  • Develop a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses all aspects of the company’s products and services.
  • Ensure the Academy provides a cohesive learning experience through various instructional methods and technologies.

Engagement with Technical Schools:

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with technical schools and educational institutions.
  • Facilitate programs that integrate the organization’s products into their curriculum, providing students with hands-on experience and knowledge.
  • Promote the use of the company’s products as training resources to prepare the next generation of professionals.

Collaboration interfonctionnelle :

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les chefs de produit, les équipes marketing, les ventes et le support client pour s’assurer que le contenu de la formation est précis et complet.
  • Collaborez avec les responsables régionaux de l’éducation et des ventes pour adapter et déployer des solutions de formation qui répondent aux besoins régionaux spécifiques et aux exigences de conformité.

Engagement des parties prenantes :

  • Engagement direct auprès des clients clés et des parties prenantes internes pour recueillir des commentaires et affiner continuellement les programmes de formation.
  • Assurer l’alignement avec les normes de l’industrie et les avancées technologiques.

Leadership et développement de l’équipe :

  • Diriger et encadrer une équipe de concepteurs pédagogiques, de formateurs et d’autres professionnels de l’éducation.
  • Fournir de l’encadrement, des conseils et du soutien pour assurer une performance élevée et une croissance professionnelle.

Évaluation et analyse d’impact :

  • Mettez en œuvre des mesures solides pour évaluer l’efficacité de toutes les initiatives de formation.
  • Analysez l’impact de la formation sur la réussite des clients, l’adoption des produits, les performances des employés et les résultats commerciaux.

Gestion des ressources et du budget :

  • Gérez efficacement les budgets et les ressources allouées aux initiatives mondiales de formation afin de maximiser le retour sur investissement et d’assurer une utilisation optimale des actifs.
  • Superviser la gestion des profits et pertes (P&L) pour s’assurer que le service de formation atteint ses objectifs de revenus et de rentabilité, en mettant l’accent sur son rôle d’unité génératrice de revenus.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product managers, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure training content is accurate and comprehensive.
  • Engage with regional managers to tailor and deploy training solutions that address specific regional needs and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Directly engage with key customers and internal stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously refine training programs.
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards and technological advancements.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of instructional designers, trainers, and other educational professionals.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Evaluation and Impact Analysis:

  • Implement robust metrics to assess the effectiveness of all training initiatives.
  • Analyze the impact of training on customer success, product adoption, employee performance, and business outcomes.

Resource and Budget Management:

  • Efficiently manage budgets and resources allocated for global education initiatives to maximize ROI and ensure optimal use of assets.
  • Oversee Profit and Loss (P&L) management to ensure the training department meets its revenue and profitability goals, emphasizing its role as a revenue-generating unit.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Business Administration, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role with delivering high quality training initiatives, preferably in the BMS or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of both technical and sales training within a global context.
  • Experience in managing remote teams and delivering training across multiple regions.

Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with a strong execution focus.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Strong analytical abilities to evaluate training effectiveness and use data to drive strategic improvements.

  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree
  • Writing and reading proficiency in French.
