An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Calgary office beginning May 2025 for an approximate 4-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position reporting to the Sr Advisor, Community Relations & Education that is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.
What you will do:
- Provide support for Nutrien’s education programs including event planning and execution, program development, coordinating program materials, staffing educational displays/ education outreach, website updates, and social media
- Develop written and visual resources to support communication, reporting, and promotion of Nutrien’s youth education programs, and other Community Relations and Investment programs, activities, and news
- Provide support for volunteering and community engagement initiatives through Nutrien’s Employee Volunteer Program including setting up and coordinating opportunities, communications, and in-person support
- Support all members of the Community Relations and Investment team on a variety of projects, programs, and initiatives
What you will bring:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Communications, Public Relations, or Business program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term
- Competence in standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word)
- Strong written and verbal skills, good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in managing multiple priorities and working in a diverse team environment
- Strong organizational skills, with a willingness to take on a variety of projects, a demonstrated ability to prioritize, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Community engagement and volunteerism, an asset
- Knowledge or experience with WordPress or other web publishing software, an asset
- Social media experience, an asset
