Wiring Harness Design Release Engineer

Description

This role is for a Wiring Harness Design Release Engineer that will be stationed onsite at Stellantis’ Windsor Assembly Plant. This engineer will have design responsibilities for several wire harness families in the RU Program (Chrysler Pacifica) and be onsite daily.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with designers to package wiring harnesses in vehicle using Stellantis design guidelines.
• Support vehicle build events at Customer site. Specifically, the Chrysler Pacifica at the Windsor Assembly plant
• Act as the sole representative for the client when other engineers are not present.
• Incorporate the client’s DFM (Design for Manufacturability) guidelines into the design.
• Support Cost reduction initiatives
• Specify, document, and coordinate engineering changes.
• Issue documentation to authorize design changes and track cost.
• Review warranty claims to identify design improvements

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with / knowledgable of automotive wire harness systems
• Either 3+ years of experience with design release engineering experience within the automotive industry
• Experienced working at the plant level
• Experienced with automotive assembly
• Strong communication & documentation skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $44.00/hr.
