Full Time contract to March 2024 – 35 Hours per week

What you will be doing:

  • Planning and growing our (currently virtual) events and supporting third party event organizers. This includes the Walk for Alzheimer’s, Winter Warmer, and The Quest.
  • Developing donor-centred communications, including video messaging, impact reports, customized stewardship and more.
  • Building strong internal and external relationships with event sponsors, staff, volunteers, clients, and new community supporters.
  • Managing our social media accounts ((i.e. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc with scheduling apps like Later, Canva and Hootsuite.) and supporting marketing and promotion using Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere Pro, etc.  for Fund Development activities, and where needed to support programs and services.
  • Working collaboratively with he Volunteer Coordinator to effectively staff special events
  • Keeping good records, developing event critical paths and using Raiser’s Edge and SharePoint.

What you bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary education (or an equivalent combination of work experience & education); OR Post-secondary education with post-graduate certificate from an accredited institution.
  • Excellent writing skills, knowledge of fundraising best practices, and a gift at planning and executing special events
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Willingness to learn and work well with a team

Salary for this position is Grade 4, with a starting salary of $40,000.00
