We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and highly motivated community member to lead the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign in Brandon. The Kettle Coordinator ensures the smooth running of the Kettle Campaign, maximizing donations and coordinating staffing (employees and volunteers). A Kettle Coordinator recruits, trains, schedules, and monitors the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff to meet location needs.

The Salvation Army requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to provide proof of full vaccination. Requests for exemption from the policy due to medical reasons or other grounds protected by provincial human rights legislation will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit, train, direct and work alongside volunteers
- Schedule volunteers on the kettle program (computerized), ensuring all kettle locations are covered daily
- Coordinate the schedule for kettle staff and respond to emergency absences, etc.
- Expected to work in cooperation with the Divisional Public Relations Department
- Keep accurate records of volunteer information, using the Kettle Program
- Ensure kettle locations are kept well-stocked with supplies (i.e. literature, etc.)
- Contact churches, businesses and other organizations to fill volunteer spots on kettles
- Deliver and pick-up kettles to/from sites daily (if necessary), ensuring the security of donations.
- Represent The Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner
- Input daily kettle totals on TSA Kettle System
- Oversees daily counting
- Post campaign:
- retrieve all equipment/supplies from various kettle locations.
- debrief current campaign
- Perform other position related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certifications:
- The successful job applicant will have completed High School.
- NOTE: An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable.
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s license with own vehicle.
- Criminal Police Check.
Experience:
- More than three months but less than one year of prior related experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Experience in office administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced office setting.
- Experience with general office equipment and a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
