Description
The Kettle Supervisor/Driver will ensure daily set up and collection of Kettles in designated locations (approximately 20 locations in Abbotsford and Mission) and provide site supervision/support as required.

Position #2: 15 – 25 hours/week
Position #2: 30 – 40 hours/week
Flexibility with work hours/schedule is expected. Work will require working some weekends and evenings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with onboarding Kettle Workers (staff & volunteers) and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Provides safe, secure and timely transfer of Kettles, supplies and money to and from assigned locations
- Communicate with and provide supervision, instruction and guidance to Kettle hosts; report any and all incidents, recommendations, concerns, and trends to Kettle Coordinator
- Troubleshoot and debrief with Kettle Coordinator at the beginning and throughout location of each shift
- Work as Kettle worker as required: relief for breaks, when there is no Kettle volunteer
- Aid Kettle volunteers/workers in the retrieval and/or set up designated Christmas Kettle from storage locations
- Liaise with retail/security personnel regarding Kettle exchange, storage, shift changes, personnel changes, host breaks, host belongings, etc.
- Manage inventory and replenish Kettle supplies when low; provide maintenance to Kettles and supplies
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Be punctual, reliable and community minded
- Has a valid driver’s license, a clean driver’s abstract, and access to a personal vehicle for business purposes
- Must obtain a Criminal Record Check in accordance with Criminal Records Review Program
- Positively portrays The Salvation Army and reflect its mission and core values
- Willingness to adhere to the Mission Statement of and the values of The Salvation Army
- Possesses good customer service skills – be friendly, courteous, positive, outgoing, flexible, task oriented, and patient
- Be able to work independently
- Ability to focus on the job and refrain from distractions, i.e. mobile phone use when driving
- Possesses good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 lbs.
- Follows the dress code and be well groomed
- Possesses and wear proper outdoor attire in inclement weather
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations
- Previous fundraising experience, supervision, delivery and volunteer experience an asset
