Description
The purpose of the Christmas Kettle Campaign is to raise money to fund the various programs that The Salvation Army runs year-round. To achieve this goal, the Kettle worker provides the secure and courteous oversight of a designated Christmas Kettle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrive at assigned location on time and remain with the Christmas kettle until shift change or kettle is picked up by personnel.
- Represent Salvation army in a positive manner. Greets and thanks donors courteously.
- Collect donor’s information when a request is made for a charitable tax receipt.
- Follow instructions of supervisor and coordinator; report any problems or concerns to supervisor or coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Completed High School or equivalents
Experience:
- Related experience is an asset
- Must provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination **

PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
- People oriented with excellent communication skills
- Patient when dealing with the public
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Honest, Courteous and punctual; represent the organization in a positive, professional and engaging manner.
Hours:
- Up to 20 hours per week, split shift and flexible hours may be required.
- Monday to Saturday (No Sundays)
- Duration – November 17 to December 24, 2021
