Temporary Part Time: November 16th, 2021, to December 24th, 2021
Campaign Hours: Monday to Saturday from 10:00AM-8:00PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arrive at assigned location on time and remain with the Christmas kettle until shift change or kettle is picked up by personnel.
- Ensure Christmas kettle is attended or stored away during restroom and meal breaks per instruction given.
- Represent Salvation army in a positive manner. greet with a smile.
- Collect donor’s information when a request is made for a charitable tax receipt.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays
- Must comply with all Salvation Army policies, procedures, and associated legislation.
- Respond to questions/queries from potential donors regarding SA ministries and programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed High School or equivalents
- Related experience an asset
PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills; enjoy liaising and working with people of all ages and abilities
- Self-motivation
- Strong service ethic
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in the handling of donor, volunteer, and organizational information
- Respect and understanding of the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army
