Kindergarten Teacher (Permanent Position)

Location: Eric G. Lambert School, Churchill Falls

Eric G. Lambert School is a K-12 private school of 149 students and 19 teaching units. It is operated by Nalcor Energy – Churchill Falls and follows the prescribed curriculum of the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education. We have an opening for a Kindergarten Teacher position starting in September of 2021. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the Kindergarten curriculum. You subscribe to a “students first” philosophy in your practice and believe that collaboration with colleagues and communication with parents are important to student success.

You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation’s Safety and Health Program. You will also be responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

You will have a Bachelor of Education – (Primary/Elementary) or equivalent from a recognized university (Having completed Primary/Elementary Methods courses). You should hold a valid NL Teaching Certificate or be eligible to receive one (minimum Certificate V preferred). Experience teaching at the Primary/Elementary level would be considered an asset. You are dedicated to the development of the whole student and more than willing to go above and beyond to meet students’ requirements. And have the willingness to be involved in engaging and enriching extracurricular activities with EGLS students. Other combinations of experience and qualifications may also be considered.
