RVS invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Learning Specialist – Learning Supports teacher position starting August 31, 2021 until June 30, 2025. The successful candidate will be working under the direction of the Director of Learning Supports. High School Learning Support experience is preferred for this position.

• Teachers in RVS who hold continuing contracts are also eligible to apply to this position.*

The successful candidate will possess experience working with students with complex program needs, including students requiring the use of alternative communication systems, as well as multiple other needs across all domains of human development (including complex mental illnesses).

The successful candidate must possess, or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate and provide an original TQS to Human Resources before commencing employment with RVS.

The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of employment.
