Description
The LEEP Instructor provides learning opportunities for LEEP participants while providing administrative support to management as required and directly reports to the LEEP Program Leader.
This is a part-time position Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, update and organize core curriculum lesson modules.
- Deliver lesson modules (online and in-person).
- Facilitate group discussions and learning opportunities on a relational level.
- Assist in intake assessments for program eligibility.
- Assist in the follow-up of past and present participants.
- Data entry of program information in ICARE
- Prepares and distributes materials, as required
- Submit regular reports and documentation on activities and the participants’ progress.
- Attend meetings as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in studies related to education and/social services.
Experience:
- Minimum one year prior related work experience.
- Experience planning and delivering training and providing support in a cross-cultural setting.
- Experience and understanding of cultural adaptation and the effects of war is a strong asset.
The successful candidate must hold/have:
- Current Certification in First Aid/ CP
- Criminal Police Investigation check
- Child Abuse Registry check
PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Knowledge of plain language, adult literacy and English as an Additional Language, issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy skills.
- Knowledge of immigrant and refugee youth employment needs and issues.
- Must be client-centred with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to speak a language in addition to English is an asset.
