As a member of the Mechanical Maintenance Team at the Mactaquac Generating Station, you will be responsible for the execution of the station’s activities within the Mechanical Maintenance Department ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all Mechanical equipment and auxiliaries.

The main responsibilities of the Maintenance Tradesworker are to:

Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, compressors, hoisting equipment, and valves.

Perform precision measurements on rotating equipment and perform alignments.

Provide mentorship to other members of the team, ensure work is being performed efficiently, safely, and that procedures and work methods are up to date and meet the needs of the team.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).

Industrial Mechanic, CQ AND

Welder – F4 Qualified.

Class 5 Driver’s License.

Minimum of three years of experience maintaining pumps, compressors, and rotating equipment.

An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
