Duties
Reporting to the Associate Dean, Justice Studies & Applied Arts, the Manager, Academic Pathways & Partnerships is responsible for providing leadership and management to all SCWI/PASS and Career/College Prep (Literacy and Basic Skills) programming, tri-campus. The Manager supervises faculty and staff and oversees all daily operations related to the portfolio. The Manager facilitates staff onboarding and training, as well as performance review and management. The Manager is the principal contact for all internal and external stakeholders, including school board staff and administrators, Ministry personnel, college administration, and community partners. With the assistance of college SCWI and LBS personnel, the Manager prepares and submits all ministry reports and documentation on behalf of the College and sits at the college representative on the SCWI/PASS Regional Planning Team (RPT) and is the College representative for Heads of Upgrading Programs (HOUP).
The Manager, Academic Pathways & Partnerships must understand the issues, challenges and opportunities related to intermediate/secondary students and to adult learners seeking to upgrade skills in a changing workforce. The Manager, Academic Pathways & Partnerships must have an understanding of College organizational structure, processes, and programs in order to plan and implement activities on campus and in the Kingston, Brockville and Cornwall communities. Demonstrated leadership, administrative, and communication skills, and the ability to work creatively in an academic environment are required elements for this position. This position calls for a high level of organizational skill. Through proactive planning and team leadership, the Manager organizes and prioritizes tasks to foster excellence within these programs and ensures a positive reputation that is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of St. Lawrence College.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Senior, Intermediate or Adult Education) or relevant field.
Ontario College of Teachers certification (or equivalent) is desired.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an upgrading, secondary, or post-secondary education environment.
Other Required Qualifications:

Effective listener and communicator who works collaboratively with other teams and individuals withing the College.
Knowledge of community college environment, adult learning and literacy, curriculum and program development, learning assessment, student retention and engagement strategies, program and services evaluation, marketing.
Knowledge of Ontario secondary-school curriculum and SCWI program and reporting processes.
Understanding of the structure of the K-12 system and be able to communicate with varying levels within the system (students, educators, parents and administrators).
Knowledge of provincial LBS program (including LBS guidelines and Performance Management Framework), budget, and reporting processes is an asset
Understanding of the college system. and be able to communicate with varying levels within the system (deans, chairs, coordinators, faculty, etc.).
Skilled in various computer applications and comfortable acquiring skills related to specific software and applications.

Salary & Terms
Administrative Group: Pay Band 10
Hours per week: 37.5
Pay Range: $75,993 – $94,991 per annum, commensurate on education and experience. In addition to the salary, the position is eligible for pay for performance.
