Working together to provide essential services to communities across Western Canada, we are hiring a Manager, Ag & Home POS, on a permanent basis at our Home Office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, reporting to the Director of Retail Solutions. This position is open to individuals working from one of our locations in Calgary and Edmonton. Working out of one of these locations may require regular travel to Saskatoon.

What you’ll do:
You will be responsible for the strategy, definition of scope, objectives, implementation, and support of Retail Technology solutions at Home and Building Supplies (HABS), Ag and Crop Inputs locations, and recommendations and implementations of technology solutions for retails. The role is responsible for services provided in-house, as well as the management of Vendors.
You will oversee a team that organizes, coordinates, and directs the installation, training, and support of Point-of-Sale systems and IT-delivered services (including item downloads) for Co-op Retails operating in the HABS, Crop Inputs, Agro, Fertilizer operations. Includes ensuring optimization of transfer of data from source to target systems.
You will gather and assess feedback from stakeholders, including retailers, IT department staff, and other FCL staff and evaluate the operation of the POS system and IT-delivered services and how they meet the needs of the local Co-op’s (present and future).
You will manage and oversee maintenance and support of the technical infrastructure and POS applications at Co-op branded Home and Building Supplies, Crop Inputs, Agro, and Fertilizer locations, including local and wide area networks, SAN, servers, firewalls, access points, switches, desktops and notebooks, and related installation, configuration and support, backup and redundancies.
You will oversee the execution of software provisioning and operation and hardware sourcing and purchasing from various sources, including outside software vendors, FCL, and internal programming, within approved budget parameters and according to strategic direction.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Information Technology and:
You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or other appropriate streams.
You have a strong understanding of Retail Operations.
You have a minimum of 8+ years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in Retail POS that includes system installation and development in a retail setting.
PCI and PMP certifications, as well as Business training, or experience is an asset.
You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
