What is the intent of this process?

We are currently seeking talented candidates to fill various manager positions (at the MG-06 level).

Potential positions to be staffed via this process may include, but are not limited to: manager of trends and implications; manager of horizontal initiatives; manager of policy and strategy integration; manager of enterprise coordination; manager of corporate planning and reporting, and manager of analysis and integration.

This staffing process is expected to be used to staff a number managerial positions within the Service, Innovation and Integration Branch of the Canada Revenue Agency, in the areas of innovation and analytics, planning and reporting, strategic policy, strategic research and performance, and transformation.

Employees of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) occupying a position in the National Capital Region (NCR).

AND

Federal public service employees in organizations found under Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act occupying a position in the NCR.

Essential staffing requirements

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements

Education

A degree from a recognized postsecondary institution

You must upload your education credentials in the education section of your candidate profile and submit all required documents by the closing date and time of this poster. Failure to do so can result in your application not being considered further.

Experience

Experience* in providing strategic advice (synthesizing available information, identifying options and recommending action) on complex issues** to senior management***

AND

Experience* creating and delivering papers, briefing products and presentations to senior management***.

AND

Experience* in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders, and representing your organization by participating in various forums/committees

AND

Experience* leading, supervising or managing the work of others such as but not limited to, delegating work, setting expectations, ensuring deadlines are met (please be specific in the number of people, the nature of the work and the span of your responsibilities).

AND at least one (1) of the following experience factors:
Experience* in leading research or innovation projects including design, development, iteration, and refinement.

OR

Experience* in leading the development of corporate plans and reports.

OR

Experience* in leading the application of strategic foresight, horizontal and/or transformational (organization-wide or inter-departmental) initiatives.

  • Experience is associated with the performance of these functions as part of the major job duties accomplished for a period of twelve (12) cumulative months in the last three (3) years.

** Complex issues and files are those that have at least one (1) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, confidential, involve or affect many partners or stakeholders, create a precedent, have a major impact on the public or is subject to significant public or media interest.

*** Senior Management is defined as EX-03 and above
