Job Information
As the Manager, Services for Persons with Disabilities, you will lead the development of territory-wide policies, program standards, parameters, and reporting requirements for rehabilitation and continuing care services that guide the Department of Health and Social Services to ensure ongoing effective delivery of services for persons with disabilities. Reporting to the Director of Seniors and Continuing Care, the Manager, Services for Persons with Disabilities is a leader in identifying opportunities for meaningful change which includes overseeing a team of specialists that conducts research, analyses and provides recommendations on issues related to the delivery of disabilities services in the Northwest Territories.
In order to be successful in this role, we require the completion of a Master’s degree in a health discipline (i.e. rehabilitation therapy, occupational therapy) with three (3) years related work experience or a combination of education and experience equivalent with five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience in the field of Continuing Care Services/Health Services. This position must maintain a current license to practice in a Canadian jurisdiction.
