This position is located in Toronto, Ontario and is currently remote until the Toronto office reopens.

Summary of duties:
- Oversee stewardship functions for all donors including Major Gifts, Corporate supporters/Sponsors, Foundations, Government, and other donors.
- Plan and execute customized stewardship plans for major donors.
- Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and program leaders to ensure meaningful stewardship plans are in place for groups of donors who do not meet criteria for customized (i.e. case-by-case) stewardship.
- Proactively develop and implement strategies that identify, engage, cultivate, solicit and steward a major gift pipeline of corporate, foundation and individual donor prospects in all stages of the development cycle.
- Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors, including strategy development and 1:1 relationship building.
- Participate collaboratively in our prospect management system including, prospect clearance, assignments, moves management and prospect timelines.
- Prepare compelling and strategic major gift donor communications materials including briefing notes, tailored proposals, cases for support, correspondence and gift agreements.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications and Program colleagues to prepare donor impact reports, and other pertinent stewardship materials.
- Organize weekly cycle of thank you calls, emails, and other touch points.
- Analyze and report on results of stewardship program.
- Prepare pledge reminders and tailored thank you letters.
- Organize and track all stewardship moves in collaboration with the Chief Development Officer.
- Manage and maintain all stewardship documentation and tracking.
- Ensure and maintain Raiser’s Edge data accuracy and integrity in accordance with the Prince’s Trust Canada’s policies and procedures.
What you bring to the position:
- Fundraising professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience within a fundraising environment, non-for-profit or charity
- Understanding of the prospect to door moves management process and cycle.
- Experience using research tools to gather information on prospective donors
- Experience preparing and presenting leadership proposals.
- A demonstrated interest in PTC’s mission and programs supporting young people and Veterans.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven project management success with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Advanced experience with fundraising database applications, preferably Raiser’s Edge.
- A task master with proven production of accurate, thorough and professional work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Commitment to providing an exceptional donor experience to PTC supporters.
- Skilled relationship manager, able to interact with donors, build relationships, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well with co-workers, peers, donors, volunteers and others.
- Ability to collaborate with senior team members, including the CEO and Board Chair, and senior volunteers.
- CFRE designation or working toward is considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate in both official languages is considered an asset.
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal; and, good listener.
- Highly professional, mature, and confident.
- Able to work independently and effectively within a team environment as well as both in office and remotely (please note this position will be remote until further notice due to COVID-19 restrictions).
- Ability to set priorities, complete work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Ability to think critically and make well-informed, timely decisions.
