North Central Co-op invites applications for Meat Department Manager to join our team at our Chappelle Food Store in Edmonton, Alberta. Responsible for the day to day execution of tasks and involved in the planning for the direction of their department.

Position Summary:
The Meat Department Manager will prepare, administer and manage the sales margins, expenses, inventory and spend of the meat department. Ensure a positive customer experience by offering a friendly greeting and engaging with customers with a high-level of product knowledge to assist with purchase decisions.

Primary Job Functions:
Oversee daily operations in the Meat department and maintain excellent customer experience

Ensure adherence to the departmental budget.

Oversee inventory control, ordering and receiving for the department

Ensure the Meat department is appropriately merchandised including tagging and pricing accuracy

Maintain customer standards by tracking, monitoring and following up with customer concerns

Participate in the recruitment, training, development and performance management of all team members in the department

Ensure proper preparation of promotions and displays are completed

Provide strong leadership and support to team members within the department

Required Skills:
Post-secondary education in related field

3 years Retail Meat Manager experience

Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills

Strong time management and organizational skills
