Faculty will be working from home unless they need to be on campus to teach a lab or shop where virtual delivery is not possible. Safety precautions have been put in place on campus following the recommendations of Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Officer.
Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)
Job Duties
1. Select, design, update and construct educational courses and lab aids/materials.
2. Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations for educational purposes.
3. Supervise students in classroom, clinical, labs, tours, etc. May involve travel.
4. Evaluate students through the use of exams, assignments and observations and to record student progress.
5. Counsel students and prospective students on matters pertaining to the program and job opportunities.
Specific Accountabilities
Duties
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
1. Degree in Medical Radiology Technology (or working towards completion of a related degree); or diploma in Medical Radiology Technology with advanced certification, ACR; or a Medical Radiology Technology diploma with degree equivalency through a combination of education, training and experience.
2. Current registration with C.A.M.R.T. with completion of the “Radiological Technology” certification exam.
3. Licensed with the SAMRT to practice as a Medical Radiology Technologist in Saskatchewan.
4. Two years’ recent/relevant experience as a Medical Radiology Technologist.
5. Current clinical experience.
6. Good interpersonal skills.
7. Good communication skills.
8. Good instructional ability.
9. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
10. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
11. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
